The Senior Estimator/Scheduler will be responsible for leading the calculation of construction cost and scheduling estimates by developing, setting, and implementing appropriate standards across PCI. The role requires the maintenance and management of a comprehensive project cost and scheduling control system. This also includes the planning and development, negotiation, and contract execution of all PCI projects. The role will assist in the overall evaluation of Contractor tender costs and provide structure for contractors to supply data.

What will you be responsible for?
Develop the project planning and scheduling controls strategy.
Prepare master project schedules across our standard sites. Establish the benchmark and technical limits.
Build and monitor a project estimating database by analysing and maintaining correct and accurate take-offs from standard plans
Assist the Project Manager to assess tenders and prepare budget assurances
Assist the Project Manager in reviewing and assuring cost variations and extensions of time are accurate and reasonable
Work closely with the Procurement Manager to develop a prefabrication brief across out builds and trial for savings
Monitor industry trends and pricing activity to ensure all data is accurate and targets are based on best price
Ensure compliance with estimating and scheduling processes and systems to minimise exposure to commercial risk
Work closely with the project management team and other stakeholders providing professional costing and scheduling advice
What skills and experience will our ideal candidate have?
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or relevant field
Proven record of tendering commercial projects up to $20M
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry
Demonstrated performance in project execution from beginning to end
Client relationship management experience
Ability to work with others in a team environment
A pro-active attitude with good communication skills and strong attention to detail
Achieve targets whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
Proven experience with estimating software (CostX, Buildsoft, Cubit and Excel)
