Are you a process driven Accountant with strong commercial acumen?
The Transaction Accountant contributes to the preparation of the financial accounts of the business. You will be responsible for analysing the general ledger at transaction level and recommend corrections and process improvements. Ideally you will have experience in a large commercial organisation and the ability to work at pace to balance completing priorities.

Key responsibilities include:
Analyse the general ledger at transaction level then recommend and prepare corrections and reversals
Recommend and prepare accruals in the accounts
Undertake balance sheet adjustments and amortisation of prepayments, provisions etc
Analyse and re-post ‘common products’
Manage recharges and cross charges between entities
Post journals to the general ledger and related sub-ledgers with a clear understanding of the underlying transactions and business activities
Complete reconciliation processes to support account balances in the general ledger and related sub-ledgers
Investigate issues or anomalies in the accounts then recommending and preparing corrections and process improvements

Contribute to the accuracy of the trial balance
The successful candidate will possess:
Ideally you will have experience in a large fast paced organisation
CA/CPA qualifications coupled with solid audit experience
The ability to communicate across all levels of the business
A strong working knowledge of accounting standards and their application
Knowledge and experience of how to interpret business processes and activities from an accounting perspective
Knowledge and experience of how to explain the reasoning/business purpose behind an accounting approach
